Ha! I haven't had a chance to look at the playtest files yet (it took me forever to even download them). But reading everyone else's reactions in the OSR blogosphere, this seems to be the general consensus.
@MW--I never planned on purchasing Next in the first place and will not support it with my ducats, but they put this out for free so it was worth a look. When you try to please everyone you end up with meh. I found the original image at tshirtgroove.com
@Eric, not my flavor either but I wish them well all the same.

Yeah I feel the same, nothing here makes me WANT to play Next....
